UNCDF together with Laboremus (technical partner) developed a payments application called Emata. This application allows dairy cooperatives to digitize their administration: farmers come to the collection centre to deliver their milk; and the cooperatives register in the application how many litters to they deliver, when etc. This data used to be documented in notebooks. Processing this information would take days to translate into payments and also does not give an historical data about how much milk farmers deliver and on which basis.

In this video, we showcase how the application works, what impact it has on the dairy cooperatives and on the end users; the dairy farmers.
