  • Publications, guides and communication materials

Summary

Cambodia’s economy has experienced a fast and sustained average annual growth of 7.7% between 1993 and 2012, and is predicted to continue on this strong trajectory.3 Growth has been driven by a boom in the garment, construction and tourism industries and in the agriculture sector. The agriculture sector remains the largest employer—generating the majority of employment (>50%)— but accounts for only less than a third of the country’s GDP.
