Donor Governments

Donor Governments

As a voluntarily funded UN agency, UNCDF relies on donor governments for the bulk of its financing. This includes core (unearmarked) financing, as well as non-core financing (earmarked for a particular country or programme, including global programmes).

16 donor countries currently support UNCDF projects and global programmes. Donors include DAC donors, such as Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States; but also non-DAC donors such as China, Thailand and Vietnam, including three governments from least developed countries, such us Bhutan, Cambodia and Myanmar.

Additional governments have contributed through Multi-Partners Trust Funds (i.e. Livelihoods and Food Security Trust Fund (LIFT); Joint Programmes multi donors trust funds).
