Knowledge Management and Advocacy are key areas of work for UNCDF. As a leading agency in development finance, UNCDF has accumulated a significant 'knowledge-capital' based on its interventions in over 30 countries and spanning several decades. This knowledge is considered as a public good, as knowledge that Governments and development practitioners from around the globe should be able to access, debate and use. For this reason, UNCDF invests considerable resources in codifying and sharing internally and externally the knowledge that is generated via its programs and projects. It applies a rigorous process that allows only high-quality material and knowledge to emerge and be published. The knowledge produced by UNCDF often offers robust evidence for advocacy purposes on the role that smart local development policies and financial inclusion can play in fostering sustainable and inclusive growth. |
