In Phobjikha, Bhutan, children can now safely access their school thanks to the new ‘climate proofing’ bridge built through UNCDF’s Local Climate Adaptation Facility, LoCAL. LoCAL provides seed capital to local governments to finance local adaptation measures and helps communities to adapt to climate change and to respond to its increased intensity of flooding.
