The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is supporting MicroLead, UNCDF USD 58.5 million global facility to promote access to financial services, particularly savings, with a special focus on Africa and post-crisis countries. Together with USAID, Visa Inc., Citi (NYSE: C), Ford Foundation, Omidyar Network, and UNCDF, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is supporting Better Than Cash Alliance, a USD 38 million global initiative to accelerate global shift to electronic payments.

The MasterCard Foundation is supporting MicroLead, UNCDF USD 58.5 million global facility to promote access to financial services, particularly savings, with a special focus on Africa and post-crisis countries and Youthstart, a programme to increase access to financial services for 200,000 low-income youth in Sub-Saharan Africa
