“Made by Microentrepreneurs,” an online boutique initiated by the International Year of Microcredit 2005, celebrates the creativity and accomplishments of poor and low-income people entrepreneurs. A collection of unique products, labeled with the logo of the Year, convey the importance of microentrepreneurs in building cultures and economies.

All profits from this initiative will be donated to support access to high quality financial services to microentrepreneurs.

The online boutique currently has the following five products from Macedonia, Colombia, Rwanda and Bangladesh. The Year secretariat is working with entrepreneurs to expand the store to twenty-five products by this summer.

Product ideas

Made by Microentrepreneurs is looking to microfinance leaders and social entrepreneurs to connect us to their local creative industries, and contribute unique and innovative product ideas. Please send your ideas to marketplace@uncdf.org.
