Nominations Now Being Accepted for AGFUND Microcredit Prize 2005

The AGFUND International Prize is an annual prize awarded by the Arab Gulf Programme for United Nations Development Organizations. It is a financial reward of US$300,000, in addition to trophies and certificates of recognition.

Prize Subjects 2005

"Microcredit Helping to Achieve the Millennium Development Goals"
Only projects implemented by UN, International or Regional Organizations are eligible for nomination for this category prize.

"The Impact of Microcredit to Reduce Poverty"
Only projects implemented by Non-governmental Organizations are eligible for nomination for this category of prize.

"Reaching the Poorest of the Poor with Microcredit"
Only projects initiated, sponsored and/or implemented by individuals are eligible for nomination for this category of prize.

Deadline

Nomination for the AGFUND Prize shall be made by filling in the Nomination Form (hardcopy or electronic copy on AGFUND's Website) and sending it together with the required documents to AGFUND, Department of Communication, no later than 30 April 2005 (www.agfund.org), (www.prize.agfund.org).
