Cambodia is spearheading the LoCAL mechanism that is now moving into its third phase. By going over key stepping stones, the LoCAL mechanism now benefits from important lessons learned and is being scaled to one hundred districts and municipalities.
Importantly, in this process, LoCAL’s main partner, the NCDDS, is on its way to become one of the first ever National Implementing Entity of the Green Climate Fund, a move that could possibly allow a scaling of the mechanism in the entire country.
LoCAL is a global mechanism that helps bring climate funding at local levels using Performance Based Climate Resilience Grants.
