IELD joint interagency team is composed at the HQ level of a global programme manager, Technical committee (comprised of UN Women’s advisor for Asia and the Pacific, Manager of UN Women’s Knowledge Gateway, UNCDF Local Development Finance Programme Manager and the UNDP Gender Team Economic Empowerment Specialist), and project associates, referred to as the IELD Secretariat. The Secretariat reports to the IELD Steering Committee.

The Global Steering Committee is composed of: the Director of UNCDF Local Development Finance Practice; Director of UNDP Gender Team; and the Director of Programme at UN Women. The IELD Programme Manager functions as the Secretariat for the Steering Committee.

At the country level, IELD is directly implemented by the participating country and local governments, in close collaboration with the IELD joint country teams and regional advisors.
