
Maryann Miranda Cuenca is the Investment Portfolio Management Analyst at the United Nations Capital Development Fund. A dual national of Luxembourg and Peru, she brings over a decade of experience in investment management across both the private and public sectors. She holds a Master’s degree in Money, Finance, and Governance from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, along with a Maîtrise in Quantitative Economics. She speaks English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Maryann joined UNCDF in 2022 as part of the Investment Finance and Oversight Division, with deep expertise in portfolio management, impact tracking, and financial oversight. In her current role, she supports the management and deployment of UNCDF’s investment portfolio. She plays a key role in enforcing processes and tools for loan and guarantee operations, monitoring portfolio performance, and ensuring compliance with UNCDF’s policies and regulatory requirements. She also contributes to the development of an integrated portfolio management system that aligns investment oversight with operational units.
Before joining UNCDF, Maryann spent eight years in the private sector in Luxembourg, holding positions at Nordea Asset Management and BGL BNP Paribas. Her expertise in sustainable investment is reinforced by her Sustainable Investing Certificate from the CFA Institute and her Advanced Responsible Investment Analysis Certificate from the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) Academy.
