Faten Bokri is the Head of the Programme Management Support Unit (PMSU) in the Operations and Oversight Division at the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF).
Prior to joining UNCDF, Faten served for five years in the Executive Office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as the Senior Special Assistant to UNDP Administrator, where she led the Administrator’s global strategic engagements and advised on programmatic, policy and managerial matters. She previously held multiple leadership roles with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
In leading PMSU, Faten will provide strategic leadership for UNCDF’s programme management and oversight functions, ensuring adherence to programmatic and financial regulations, quality assurance of results and impacts, and the effective design and management of programmes, projects, and transactions. She will work closely with the Operations and Oversight Division, the Investment and Implementation Division, and other units to strengthen results-based management (RBM) practices.
A Tunisian national, she brings over 16 years of experience in sustainable development, combining strong policy and portfolio/programme management expertise working with multiple UN entities, governments, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) across headquarters, regional, and country offices in Africa, Asia-Pacific and Europe. Faten holds a Master’s Degree in International Policies and Crisis Management from the University of Rome La Sapienza, Italy. She is fluent in English, Arabic, French and Italian.
