Maria Perdomo is the Regional Investment Team Lead for Asia and the Pacific Region at the United Nations Capital Development Fund. She is a Colombian investment professional with a Master’s in International Affairs and Economic Development from Columbia University, and is fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Italian. Maria joined UNCDF in 2010 and has led major initiatives across Africa, Asia, and the Pacific, mobilizing over $30 million for youth-led enterprises and facilitating access to finance for women-owned MSMEs, green transformation, and digital innovation. She has also established strategic partnerships to expand UNCDF’s work in West Africa, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Fiji, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, and Papua New Guinea. Before joining UNCDF, Maria provided technical assistance to financial service providers across three continents, helping them enhance their operations to better serve last-mile communities.
