Abraham Byamungu is a Senior Investment Officer at UNCDF. He is part of UNCDF’s global technical secretariat championing project and blended finance approaches in Least Developed Countries, specifically in East and Southern Africa, West Africa, and South-East Asia.
He has over 15 years local and international work experience in lending and investment, project design and structuring, portfolio management, and monitoring and evaluation. Prior to joining UNCDF, he served at managerial level in different international and regional banks in Tanzania. He has worked with Barclays, Exim and Bank of Africa. Before joining the banking industry, Abraham worked with KPMG as a Senior Auditor.
Abraham holds a Master of Science degree in Financial Economics from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom and Bachelor of Commerce degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He is a certified professional banker, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK), and a member of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA, Tanzania).
