Mulenga Bwalya is an Investment Analyst at the LDC Investment Platform and is based in Kigali, Rwanda. Mulenga began her career as a Credit Officer at the Foundation for International Community Assistance in January 2005. In 2006, she transitioned to Norsad Agency (now Norsad Finance), an SME development finance organization financing SMEs in Southern Africa, as a Portfolio Officer. After completing her graduate studies, she worked at Access Bank as a Relationship Manager and at Zamtel, a telecommunications company in Zambia, as a Team Leader.
In 2014, she joined AgDevCo Zambian office as Investments Manager, where she was responsible for the end-to-end investment process from concept to close, supported the development of agricultural investment proposals, and the portfolio management team. From July 2019 to 2025, she joined and served as Country Manager for Missio Invest in Zambia and Malawi, acting as the primary point of contact, responsible for the end-to-end investment process and overseeing all impact investment projects in the education, health, agriculture, and finance sectors, ensuring the efficient growth of the two-country portfolios. In addition, Mulenga has engaged in various research and consultancy assignments and led scoping studies for Namibia and Zimbabwe on impact investing opportunities.
A Zambian national, she holds a Master’s degree in Globalization and Development from the University of Antwerp, IOB, Belgium, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Africa Nazarene University in Nairobi, Kenya. She is also an affiliate of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA). She speaks English and basic Swahili.
