Madeleine Blin is an Investment Specialist at UNCDF in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Before joining UNCDF, Madeleine led strategic investments and business development at IXM (formerly Louis Dreyfus Company Metals) in Geneva, where she structured and negotiated commodity-linked transactions of up to $150 million and conducted ESG-integrated due diligence across mining and commodity-trading value chains in Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Asia. She also worked with Ubuntu Capital in Abidjan, where she co-designed blended-finance vehicles for inclusive growth, and previously held strategy and finance roles at Air Liquide West Africa and Mazars France.
Her work at UNCDF focuses on structuring and underwriting blended-finance transactions that catalyze public and private capital toward MSMEs promoting forest conservation, biodiversity protection, sustainable food systems, and nature-positive growth in Central Africa.
Madeleine holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from NEOMA Business School and is currently pursuing a PhD at Université Paris Dauphine-PSL, where her research explores ESG integration and power dynamics in commodity trading within the mining and metals sector. She speaks French and English.
