Rufaro Sekeso is a Regional Investment Specialist with UNCDF, based in Nairobi, where she oversees a portfolio of programmes and transactions designed to mobilize public and private finance for sustainable, SDG-aligned investments across Eastern and Southern Africa.

Sekeso is an investment professional with 17+ years of experience in banking, impact investing, and private capital across Africa, the UK, and Australia. where she oversees a portfolio of programmes and transactions designed to mobilize public and private finance for sustainable, SDG-aligned investments across Eastern and Southern Africa.

Before joining UNCDF, Rufaro was the Chief Financial Officer at Mobility for Africa and Group Head of Projects at Arden Capital. Earlier in her career, she worked in corporate and investment banking in the UK and restructuring and insolvency in Australia where she began her career.

She holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge and a Master of Applied Finance from Charles Sturt University.
